About GAC Trumpchi
GAC Trumpchi (广汽传祺 Guǎngqì Chuánqí) is the in-house passenger brand of Guangzhou Automobile Group (GAC Group), one of the six largest state-owned auto groups in China. Trumpchi was launched in 2010 as the product line of GAC Motor (广汽乘用车) to expand beyond its joint ventures with Honda and Toyota. Headquarters and main production are in Guangzhou (Guangdong Province), with additional plants in Yichang (Hubei) and Xinjiang. The Chinese Trumpchi lineup includes sedans (GA4, GA6, GA8, Empow 影豹), crossovers and SUVs (GS3, GS4, GS8, M6, M8), as well as the new NEV sub-brands Aion (EV) and Hyper (premium EV).
The KDL Trade catalog includes only the 1st-generation ICE Trumpchi models that fit the discounted utilization-fee corridor of ≤160 hp: GA4 (传祺GA4, 2018–2021 MY) — a B-segment sedan with 1.5L 114 hp and 1.3T 137 hp engines, and GS3 (传祺GS3, 2017–2020 MY) — a subcompact SUV with the same engines. Both models came with a 5/6-speed manual or a 6-speed Aisin automatic. After 2021–2022, the 1st generation was replaced by the GA4 PLUS (1.5T 163 hp) and GS3 Power / Empow (1.5T 177 hp) — both exceeding 160 hp and dropping out of the filter.
