About Geely
Zhejiang Geely Holding Group was founded by Li Shufu in 1986 as a maker of refrigerator components, switched to motorcycle production in 1994, and entered the auto industry in 1997. Geely received its national car-manufacturing license on November 9, 2001. Today it is China's largest private auto group: in 2025 the group passed the 4 million mark for the first time (4.1 million total, including 2.3 million electrified). Beyond its own brand, Geely owns Volvo Cars, Polestar, Lotus, Proton and develops Lynk & Co and Zeekr.
In Russia Geely is one of the top-3 leaders among Chinese brands. By 2025 monetary market size Geely ranks 3rd (8.5% of revenue volume), behind only Haval and Lada. Together with its Belarusian partner at the Borisov plant, the Belgee brand is produced (a localized Coolray/Atlas Pro), which set sales records in Russia in 2025. The lineup's strengths are build quality, exterior design and premium-grade tech in a mass-market price segment.
Why choose
The best balance between Volvo-level technology and a mass-market price; localization in Belarus reduces supply-time risk.
