GAC Trumpchi GS3 (传祺GS3) is a first-generation subcompact SUV designed by GAC Motor and produced in Guangzhou from August 2017 to 2020. World premiere — Shanghai Auto Show 2017, sales start — August 26, 2017. Platform — GPMA (GAC Platform Modular Architecture), shared with GA4. Around 150,000 units were produced over the first generation's lifecycle; in 2022 the lineup was replaced by GS3 Power, and from 2023 — by GS3 Empow / 影速 with a 1.5T 177 hp engine.
The KDL Trade catalog includes all first-generation GS3 trims that fit the discounted ≤160 hp utilization-fee corridor: the 150N (1.5L 4A15K1 NA, 114 hp / 84 kW / 150 N·m, 5MT or 6AT) and 200T (1.3T, 137 hp / 101 kW / 202 N·m, 6AT Aisin) versions. Front-wheel drive. Dimensions 4350 × 1825 × 1655 mm, 2560 mm wheelbase, 170 mm clearance, 380 L cargo, 50 L fuel tank, NEDC consumption 6.7–7.3 L/100 km on the 1.3T, top speed about 175 km/h. Active 2017 MY trims: 150N 手动舒适版 (¥76,800), 150N 手自一体 豪华版 (¥94,800), 200T 手自一体 豪华版 (¥104,800) and 200T 手自一体 尊贵版 (¥113,800). All four fit the ≤160 hp filter. New GS3 Power / Empow generations (since 2022) are built on a 1.5T 177 hp and are not in the catalog.
For the CN→Russia brokerage scheme via Hunchun, the first-gen GS3 is a budget used-car import of a state-OEM subcompact SUV with a durable 1.3T Fiat-GAC engine and an Aisin gearbox. On China's used market, 2018–2020 MY units with 50,000–130,000 km mileage are priced noticeably below new 2024–2026 MY subcompact SUVs, competing with the Bestune T33 and early Chery Tiggo 4.
